Help Shape the Future of Racing at FCC<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Following strong support from the FCC Committee we are seeking Expressions of Interest from members who would like to be a part of the FCC x Salter Cycles Race Team.<\/p>\n

Why a Race Team?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

FCC has a proud history of competitive cycling. The Race Team pilot has been designed to support ambitious riders, help them continue their development, and maintain a strong connection to the club.<\/p>\n

The program aims to<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Strengthen A Grade participation and racing quality.
\nCreate a pathway from club racing to open racing.
\nIncrease FCC representation at major Victorian events.
\nProvide role models for developing riders and juniors.
\nSupport member retention and club engagement.<\/p>\n

What We’re Looking For<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The FCC x Salter Cycles Race Team will initially focus on A Grade riders who are keen on competing and commited to representing the club at Victorian and Australian open road events. The focus is on representation, club engagement, and sustainability rather than performance outcomes.<\/p>\n

Riders selected for the Race Team will be expected to<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Maintain FCC membership and a race licence.
\nRepresent FCC positively and professionally.
\nWear approved FCC team kit at designated events.
\nSupport club races and memorial events.
\nVolunteer and marshal where required.
\nContribute to a positive and inclusive club culture.<\/p>\n

While the initial intake is focused on A Grade riders, the long-term vision of the program is to create a pathway that supports the broader FCC racing community.<\/p>\n

Following our recent member survey, we’re pleased to confirm that our upcoming criterium season will be held on Thursday nights at Victoria University.<\/p>\n

Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the survey. The response was clear, with a strong preference expressed for Thursday night racing.<\/p>\n

While we understand that no single race night will suit every member, the committee felt it was important to seek member feedback and make a decision that best reflects the preferences of the majority.<\/p>\n

We want to make our weeknight races work for as many members as possible, so we’d love your input. Please take a moment to complete this short survey and let us know whether you’d prefer racing on Wednesday or Thursday evenings at the VU.
