2018 FCC Road Aggregate Results.
Individual Time Trial (Stage 2 of the FCC Tour)
Must use only AS2063 standard helmets as well bike and wheels considered legal in massed start road races. This includes the Individual Time Trial on stage 2.
This means that:
1. You must use a standard road bike that is legal for a road race (No Time Trial Bikes, no clip-on bars)
2. You must use wheels that are legal for a road race, i.e. no full disc wheels.
3. Your helmet must meet the Australian Standard. That is it must have a AS2063 approval sticker. There are TT helmets that meet that standard and they can be used.
Entries are now open for the 61st FCC Tour. Join us for some epic racing over the Queens birthday long weekend. 3 stages over 2 days of racing.
Stage 1: Balliang Hall to Anakie Hall (70KM)
Stage 2: Staughton Vale Road ITT (7KM)
Stage 3: Kirksbridge (90KM A&B grade, 70KM C grade)

The 59th Bob Robson Memorial is just around the corner (ANZAC Day 25th of April 2019). This is a very special FCC event and the only time of the year we get to race a criterium on the streets of Williamstown.
Racing kicks off at 1:30PM
There will be 3 events on the day.
1:30 PM: Men’s Support (for B grade and below): FCC Members Only.
2:10 PM: Women’s Open and Support: All clubs.
2:50 PM: Men’s Open: FCC Members and by invitation.
After racing there will be a free BBQ and presentations at the Williamstown Bowling Club for racers, volunteers, friends and family.
It’s a very spectator friendly course so we hope you can bring your supporters along.
Entries are now open, with invitations for the Men’s open being sent out on Monday. Entries are via EntryBoss https://entryboss.cc/races/1614 with field sizes capped to 40 in each event, make sure you enter early to avoid disappointment.
As we approach our Annual General Meeting, to be held on April 8th, 2019, at the Altona RSL at 7pm SHARP, we aim to facilitate the Election of Office Bearers, for the following MANDATORY positions for the 2019 financial year:- President (Not due for election until 2020), Vice President, Secretary (2 year tenure), Treasurer, 2 Executive members. We will also seek to elect a further 6-8 Executive Members over and above what is stipulated by our Constitution.
It is vital that we have members attend our AGM and participate in this meeting, the AGENDA of which is to follow.

Executive: President Miles da Costa (Not due until 2020), Vice President -Vito Depetro, Secretary, Media Liaison -Mark Micallef, Treasurer -Murray Jenkins, Two Constitutionally Mandated Executive Members: -Mark Zanatta (Commissaire) and -Michael Dam (IT/Website/Entries Administration)
Ordinary Committee Members: Shane McGuirk (Handicapper), David Lane (Assistant Handicapper), Karen Lechner (Women’s Officer), Bernie O’Sullivan (Marketing & Promotional Officer), David Walker (Race Day Coordinator), Dean Maclennan, William Hamilton, Luke Chippendale.
The Executive will run INDIVIDUAL votes for each of the 5 Executive positions, and ONE preferential vote for the SIX Ordinary Committee positions with eight nominations during the AGM.

The Criterium season is coming to an end which means the Road season is just around the corner. We have plenty of racing to keep you warm through the winter. Crits, Graded Scratch Races and Handicaps. We’ll also be running some bunch rides through the season as well, details TBA.

Get your sprinters legs on, 31-March-2019 the FCC will be hosting the Cycle House Sprint Criterium at Drake Blvd. Supported by Cycle House https://www.cyclehouse.com.au/ there will be plenty of prize money with a minimum of 2 sprints in every race.

Due to planned Powercor electricity works at Drake Blvd tomorrow, we’ll be racing the short bottom course. Entries will be at the usual spot (Noordene Constructions). Please take care riding around the area as we expect a lot of heavy vehicles and construction workers.
